Single Parenting is for the Birds

Single Parenting is for the Birds and Blogging is for Venting

So I have decided that this whole single parenting gig is terribly hard! I knew it was not going to be a cake walk- despite the size of my hips!! but I definitely had no clue how emotionally taxing it was going to be. And a little FYI, if you are involuntarily signed up ie; husbands leaves you there is no sign up bonus or free candle! When the most consistent part of their father is his inconsistency, behavioral issues arise. This is the area I am having a difficult time with. Ty has been testing me to the point where I am positive he is a teenage boy trapped in a 4 yr old body! All day long he is questioning my authority and well... laughing at it. I totally suck at the whole good cop bad cop thing and the kids are fully aware that when I am worn out there is a very good possibility they will get what they want. So if any of you have the same teenager running around in a 4yr old body at your house and are full of use full advice, PLEASE send it my way!

Mommy Daughter Day

For Rylies birthday this year I was going to give her a princess party with her friends but she told me she would rather do something with just me. So I decided on Stuffed with Love- it is a lot like Build A Bear- because of financial stuff I planned our big day for November! Here are some pictures of our Mommy Daughter Day

We started off by dropping Ty and the twins off at my mums and then we went and got a Booster Juice.

Rylie, very excited for some one on one time, as am I

Rylie at the Fountain of Fluff

Rylie picked a Racoon for her stuffie and she named her Rockie, she had a blast, stuffing the poor little gal. I for some reason stopped taking pictures at this point. Rylie chose a pink tutu for her Racoon and a pink rain coat, because that is all it does here!

Unipillars and Princess's

For Halloween this year Ty decided he was going to be a caterpillar and Rylie wanted to be a princess! This totally didn't fit into my whole coordinating OCD plan but it was easy so that is what we went with. I wanted us to be a BLT sandwich; Ty and Rylie would have been a piece of bread, Oliver the bacon, Olivia the tomato and myself... the lettuce because green is my color!! So Halloween 2009 watch out!

Livie-Lou Halloween morning!! She has genetically inherited my morning face!!

Little miss princess! A couple days before Halloween we were at the grocery store and they had pink unicorn costumes for $3.00 so i bought two because Ty just had to have a pink unicorn as well. So Rylie ended up going as a Princess riding a unicorn.

Too cute!! She wore it all day, this picture was taken at 6:00 am.

Ty was originally wearing this caterpillar costume with the unicorn one over it, but at the last minute he said "mum no one is going to know what a unipillar is so I better just go as a caterpillar!"

I went as a single mum who stayed inside with the twins because I was too tired to get them dressed up!

Oh thank Heavens for Uncles!! Especially Uncle Chris who went as the beloved Whoopi Cushion!!

Rylie absolutely loved Trick or Treating!!
Thank You Chris and Kimme for taking my rugrats Trick or Treating and creating a special memory with them.
